What is deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes the personal information we hold about you:

• Your profile details — name, username, email address, phone number, photo, bio, and location.
• Every listing you posted is taken off the marketplace.
• Your saved items, the people you follow and the people who follow you, and your blocked list.
• Your notifications and any devices registered for push notifications.
• Your profile photo and the photos on your listings.

What is kept, with your name removed

A limited amount of activity has to stay so the other people involved keep their own history, and so we can still act on abuse reports. Your name is removed from it and you appear only as 'Deleted user':

• Messages you already sent to other people, inside their conversations.
• Records of the swaps and exchanges you took part in.
• Ratings exchanged between you and other users.
• Photos you uploaded to confirm a completed handover, which the other person relies on as proof.
• Any safety reports you filed or that were filed about you.

How long it takes

Deleting from inside your signed-in account is immediate: the data is removed as soon as you confirm, and sign-in stops working straight away.

If you send us a request by email instead — because you can no longer sign in — we action it within 30 days of receiving it.

This cannot be undone

There is no recovery, no grace period, and no way to restore an account once it has been deleted. If you want to use JustSwap again later you'll need to create a new account from scratch — your old username, ratings, and completed-swap count will not come back.

Before you delete

• Finish or cancel any swap you've already agreed, so the other person isn't left waiting.
• Save anything you still need from your conversations — you won't be able to open them afterwards.
• If you only want a break, you can pause or remove individual listings instead and keep the account.

Deleting from the app

If you have the JustSwap app installed, you can also delete your account from its settings — it does exactly the same thing as this page.
